About This Blog

An attempt at chronicling the efforts of myself and some mates to stage what may be the largest Bolt Action game ever played.

Bolt Action is a WW2 table top war game played with little Army Men about 1 inch tall (28mm to be exact). I stumbled into the game through a colleague at work and found myself thoroughly enjoying it.

I decided to build a Russian Army. And shortly after decided that recreating a metaphorical facsimile of the 1943 tank battle at Prokhorovka would be a fun project. A mate is preparing a large German Army modelled after one of the units that fought at Kursk.

These postings will attempt to chronicle preparing for that game.

  1. Cool idea.
A couple of years ago, I was building plane models (and a Star Destroyer from Star Wars xD ). But never had the idea to do such a thing.

But why do you post a pic of your attic??

  2. I too am a slave to my inner man-child!

I wish I had the gumption to start a blog of some sort and I congratulate you on taking the leap.

My friend and I are also attempting some engagements from Operation Citadel and it’s bed fellows.

I like the home brew rules you guys have come up with.

We are going to be supplementing our games with a couple of extra players though, one will be in charge of Air, another Infantry and the other Armour, all with specifically coloured dice.

Unfortunately it’s only the two of us building the armies, so it’s a bit of an uphill battle but we are well on our way.
